The three-alarm fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. at a building along 14th Avenue in Newark. Officials say the fire later extended to two additional buildings. Video captures firefighters on scene dosing flames as heavy smoke billowed from one of the buildings. More than 110 firefighters responded to battle the fire, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda. The fire was put under control around 7:30 a.m. There no currently reported injuries from the fire. Impacted residents and their families in the meantime are being assisted and relocated to temporary housing.
